I can't tell you how happy working with animals makes me. As anyone
who has ever known me can attest, I just can't get enough of them! Big
ones, little ones, old ones, young ones, furry ones, feathered ones...

I have a college degree, and have worked in some exceptional positions
in corporate America during the past 25 years, but caring for animals in
some way, shape or fashion has always been my dream. Had I known
then what I know now, I would have become a wildlife biologist, animal
behaviorist, or perhaps a veterinarian. But I didn't - so a few years ago I
made the life-changing decision to launch Sitting Pretty Petsitting - I
traded in the security of a regular paycheck and health benefits for a
pooper scooper - and I've never been happier!

I grew up surrounded by animals -- living on 20 acres on the top of a hill
in Southbury, my love of creatures developed into a full-fledged passion.
There was Lucy the donkey, Sterling the Sicilian burro, a couple of
horses, some chickens, a goat named Thomas that used to eat my
mother's flowers, a lamb, and of course, lots of cats and dogs.

A dream may remain just that - a dream - until you take action. Starting
my own pet sitting business is the best thing I've ever done for myself.
